Meet Dr. Alabi
The oldest of four children, Dr. Alabi grew up in England and New York after her family immigrated from Nigeria when she was a toddler. She attended college at Yale University and was awarded Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in 2010. Dr. Alabi then completed her MD and PhD training at the Cornell University and Tri-Institutional MD-PhD Program in New York City. Drawn to the mix of clinic, surgery, and cutting-edge research in ophthalmology, Rolake pursued ophthalmology residency at the University of California San Francisco. She joined the vitreoretinal surgery fellowship program at Duke University in 2022 and is excited to next join the team at Austin Retina later this fall. Dr. Alabi is passionate about translational research and community outreach initiatives, and she enjoys traveling, photography, theater, and following Major League baseball in her free time. Dr. Alabi and her husband Bolaji are looking forward to exploring Austin and all it has to offer!
